Little Lodge Farm, Santon Downham, Norfolk
We have been using this venue since the club started. There are two different areas that we use.
The first area is halfway up the driveway to Little Lodge Farm. From there you follow the track to the right. The area consists of man made holes and hills with natural hazards. There is also a water jump. This site is primarily used for horse jumping but we have been granted permission to use the area for motorcycles.
The second area is at the end of the drive, behind the farm buildings. There is where Jeff Hibbs (Eastern Center Champion 2003) practices. Again, man made holes and hills with sand, rocks, long ditches and a small river. We use this area every year for our "New Years Day trial".
Braham Farm, Little Thetford
Braham Farm is on the A10 between Ely (1 mile) and Cambridge (12 miles). Approaching from Cambridge the turning is 1 mile from Little Thetford village. The turning is on the right hand side, however, in busy periods it is recommended that visitors continue towards Ely and negotiate a roundabout returning to access the farm from the left. Once on the farm track follow the right until the and and after about a quarter of a mile you will get to a farm, follow the dabbers sign posts to the end of the track where there is a small area of grass to park.
The terrain of the site is mostly set on river banks and ditches with a few trees also. There is a small ride between the first group of sections and the second.
Ashdon
Between Linton and Saffron Walden. This site is a mixture of a disused railway bank with steep climbs and wooded areas. There are also some man-made sections with rock steps and gullies. It is often muddy in the winter. We often use this ground for our 2 day summer trial.
South Runcton
A wooded area off the A10 just under 3 miles north of Downham Market. Driving north, take the road to the right signed "Runcton Road". The entrance to the site is 200yds on the left. The track through the wood used to be the old A10 and there is a mixture of natural woodland with some man made pits and mounds.
